Design leader for SamsClub.com desktop and mobile web experiences. I manage a team of 6 designers and content strategists whose efforts have led to:
- 30% year-over-year growth in revenue, which now stands at $2 billion dollars per year
- 20% increase in multi-channel members (those who shop both online and in clubs)
- Reduction in costs in critical areas such as customer service ($6 million in direct savings due to a revamped help center)

Hands on design lead for various tracks of work for SamsClub.com:
- Increase value perception – led the complete redesign of the SamsClub.com desktop and mobile web experiences.
- Nail the basics – worked with product, business and engineering to identify areas of friction within the site experience, then strategized and designed solutions which led to increases in conversion and overall member satisfaction.

INTERACTION DESIGN PRACTICE LEAD // March 2011 – July 2013
Founding member of the user experience team. Responsible for building up the interaction design practice from 3 to 20 designers.
- Managed a team of 7 FTE and contract Interaction Designers (IxDs).
- Led the design efforts for various Canadian retail clients including two complete and fully responsive e-commerce redesigns for Walmart Canada and the LCBO.
- Developed design strategy and experiences for retail clients such as Holt Renfrew, Atlantic Lottery Corporation, Home Depot Canada including the first m-commerce enabled site in Canada for Sears (m.sears.ca).
- Pioneered the transition to a responsive design methodology and worked with design and development leads to establish the framework.
- Helped to foster a more collaborative working environment between IxDs, strategists, designers and developers through the introduction of Agile Design methods and continued to look for improvements to workflow and client interaction.
- Established a new process for design, which included the development of both paper and HTML prototypes and introduced testing as a key component of the design process.

Contributed to design and design strategy efforts for Citibank’s credit card division.
- Conducted competitive analysis and consumer research in order to develop personas to guide the design process.
- Defined the specific outputs that would be needed and created wireframes, site architecture documents and flow diagrams accordingly.
- Helped to pioneer the use of the mobile web for Citibank and became the subject matter expert for all things mobile in the agency.

- Pitched and then designed a new online speed dating product (the first of its kind in Canada), which was later developed and placed into production.
